The California Rangemasters Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving firearm training standards for peace officers, and providing opportunities for law enforcement firearms instructors to test and evaluate new training methods, safety equipment, ammunition and less-lethal impact munitions.

The organization also promotes the exchange of ideas, training techniques and materials, and strives to improve social interaction and welfare among its members.

The CRA provides free training sessions to its members, and conducts a week-long annual training conference. E-mail updates and a Web site also keep members up-to-date on events and the latest training tips. One of the primary goals of the California Rangemasters Association is to assist with the development of its members as instructors, both in the classroom and on the range.

Towards this end, the CRA offers monthly training on topics of interest to our members. The training is currently being held at the Santa Paula Police Range in Ventura County.

We are actively looking for members of the association that have either a range and/or classroom available at their facility to host a monthly training session.

The association currently has in excess of 200 members from Northern California to San Diego. The association would like to make the monthly training more accessible to more members by holding the training throughout the state.
